Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs | Leg Makeup Review

Today I bring you a review of the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Lotion (Leg Makeup). This product is simply a makeup to hide imperfections on your legs and to make them look nearly flawless. It also gives your legs a nice glowing tan color. It really is beautiful. I bought mine in the medium shade because I felt that it would best suit my olive skin tone. It's actually a fairly dark shade so if your any lighter than me I would go for the lightest shade they have available.

The picture above is a leg with the leg makeup and without leg makeup. The photo on the left looks smoother, with a nice tan and looks amazing. (By the way, all these pictures are untouched. These are my legs and all their glory!)

When you squeeze this lotion into your hands, it looks really dark. I like to pour some into my hands, rub my hands together and quickly apply the lotion to your legs. It is easy to apply and you can definitely see where you apply the lotion. You shouldn't have a problem with streaking because you can see exactly where you've applied it on your skin.

Ok, so this is a pretty awkward picture but I wanted to show you the color and the glow the lotion gives you. The color looks pretty light in the picture because of the camera flash, but I think it still looks good. This makeup is also waterproof and is easily washed off with soap and water in the shower. I also noticed that this lotion didn't transfer onto my clothes. Awesome!

Overall, I feel that this is a great product if you want your legs to look flawless and smooth. It adds a great color to your legs and never felt sticky or like there was a gross residue. I really love this stuff. I would definitely give this stuff a try this summer if you are attending a wedding or really any occasion where you want your legs to look awesome. I'm almost tempted to get the lightest and the darkest shades to do a bit of highlighting and contouring with the lotions. This lotion retails for around $13-14. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it because the results are so nice.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Today I bring you a review of one of my favorite palettes I own from Too Faced. To be completely honest, I've been really impressed with the palettes Too Faced has released lately. This is no exception. I love the idea of the "Chocolate Bar" and the packaging kills me. It's absolutely adorable and just as you would expect the shadows even have the aroma of rich chocolate. It's like they put two of a girl's favorite things into one- if only it actually came with a chocolate bar :/ Just sayin'.

As you can see, the outer packaging resembles that of a chocolate bar wrapper, while the palette really looks like an oversized chocolate bar.

The name of the shadows are fitting and go right along with the theme of the palette. With all the ~~flavors~~ shades of eyeshadows, it's nearly impossible not to find a few you love.

There are a variety of textures in this palette, ranging from mattes, satins, shimmers, to glitters. When looking at the shade range, they are all fairly neutral with a few pops of color. But even those pops of color are what I would consider neutral, aside the Candied Violet shade.

The shadows swatch beautifully and effortlessly across the skin. It's really better to use a light hand, otherwise the color pigmentation can get a little crazy one the eyes. Just be careful.

The palette also includes a pamphlet of ideas of looks you can create with the palette. The front side demonstrates the final look you can achieve...

And the back side gives you step-by-step instructions for how to achieve these looks.

Overall, I really love this palette because I love my neutrals. Do I think you NEED this palette? Probably not. Not if you have other neutral palettes. There aren't any colors in this palette that I find to be super unique, but that doesn't mean I don't love it or that you won't either.

Studio Gear 2013 Holiday Palette Review and Look

Today I bring you a review and makeup look with the Studio Gear's Holiday palette. This is the palette they released for the 2013 holiday season.

Here is how the outer package looks.

The palette is very sleek and slim. It also has a magnetic closure so it's super convenient for travel.

On the inside of the palette there are instructional steps on how to achieve a smokey eye using the palette.

Here are the eyeshadows and blush that comes in the palette. All the eyeshadows are shimmery and the blush is a typical peachy color with golden shimmers.

Here are swatches of the eyeshadows and the blush. The colors aren't super pigmented and are a dry formula.

I actually think the blush is the star player in this palette. The eyeshadows are ok but the blush definitely stands out and is beautiful.

Here is the look I created with the palette. It's a really soft look and super easy to create, especially if you are new with makeup. The color was a little hard to build up, but if you're looking for a softer smokey eye look, then this is definitely the palette to use. It kind of reminds me of an icy winter smokey eye.

Here is the full face look with the shadows and blush.

Overall, this palette is okay... but to be completely honest, I wasn't too impressed. The colors were pretty dry and not very pigmented. I also wish there would have been at least one matte eyeshadow included instead of all shimmer. I did, however, love the blush. The color and pigmentation is spot on.

Later that day I went grocery shopping at Sam's and the cashier LOVED my makeup and she said it looked like model's makeup. So, who knows! I'm sure some people out there will love this palette way more than me. You just have to try it for yourself to know for sure.

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronze Universel Dupe/Review

Today, I wanted to show you a Chanel dupe I found from Target. Yay! Who doesn't love a cheaper alternative? So, if you've followed my blog for a while, you know that I wanted the Chanel Bronze Universel for THE longest time and I finally bought it in July. You can read that review here. On a recent trip to Target, I saw that Sonia Kashuk had a cream bronzer and it immediately caught my attention and made me wonder if it could possibly be similar to the Chanel bronzer. Once, I brought it home and swatched it, I knew it was.

Sonia Kashuk Creme Bronzer- Warm Tan (41)

I think the packaging is very sleek looking but for the amount of product you get, the packaging is a little bulky.

The lid has a nice magnetic closure unlike the Chanel that has a twist on top.

This cream bronzer comes in two shades- Warm Tan (41) and Rich Bronze (42). This one is Warm Tan (41). The other is darker in color.

Underneath the bronzer is a little compartment, which holds a round sponge. There is also a mirror for when you're on the go. I don't find this sponge useful but hey, to each their own.

This bronzer glides on the skin with ease and blends out beautifully. It's VERY easy to blend into the skin and leaves a satin/dewy finish.

Here are the two cream bronzers side-by-side. The Chanel bronzer is 1 once and I am unsure of how much product is in the Sonia Kashuk bronzer (it doesn't say).

The Chanel packaging is clearly bigger than the Sonia Kashuk but I don't think it's something to just throw in your purse. It's more likely to sit pretty on your vanity. The Sonia Kashuk, however, I look at as something I would throw in my purse and that's why I think for the amount of product you get (and I know it's less than 1oz.) the packaging seems a little bulky.

The color of the two bronzers are pretty much identical.

In the picture above, I wanted to capture the difference in texture. Though they are both creams, the Chanel bronzer is a drier formula than the Sonia Kashuk.

Again, the colors are identical, yet the Sonia Kashuk has a wetter or more dewy finish than Chanel.

I wanted to see how they both looked when I set them with powder and as you can see, they look identical. In this case, I set the cream bronzers with Makeup Forever's HD Setting Powder.

Overall, if you really want the Chanel Bronze Universel but hate the idea of spending $48, the Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Warm Tan (41) is a great alternative and is quite the steal for $10.99. Though it is creamier in texture, once it is set with a powder, it looks virtually the same. I also feel that the Sonia Kashuk gives a pretty, dewy bronzed look when used as an all over bronzer. Now, do I regret buying the Chanel? Yes and No. Yes, for the fact that there is a really good dupe out there for a fraction of the price but no, for the fact that I wanted that bronzer for FOREVER and I feel $$ RICH $$ when I use it. lol I pretty much use the Chanel when I'm feeling fancy ;P

Hopefully, this helped anyone out there who is on the fence about splurging on an expensive cream bronzer or is just looking for a cheap Chanel dupe. Let me know if you've tried either of these and how you like them.
